Ryan Maw is a Leo Award-nominated choreographer and performer with a background in tap and a decade of experience working across film, television, and live performance.
Ryan’s recent credits as co-choreographer include “A Week Away: The Series” (Netflix/Monarch Media), Hallmark’s “Christmas Crashers”, and “Get Him Back for Christmas”. He also served as associate choreographer on the Call Her Daddy: Unwell Tour. As an assistant choreographer, Ryan has contributed to major studio projects including Disney’s “Prom Pact”, Paramount’s “Honor Society”, and the upcoming feature “Get Us Home”.
A lifelong tap dancer, Ryan has toured with Postmodern Jukebox as their featured soloist and has been featured in Dance Spirit Magazine for his modern recreations of classic tap scenes inspired by Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly. His tap choreography has been showcased on national stages, including Jacob’s Pillow, the Emmy Awards, and multiple festivals and conventions.
As a performer, Ryan has appeared in projects for Disney, Netflix, NBC, and Paramount - “Julie and the Phantoms”, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”, World of Dance, and So You Think You Can Dance among them.
Teaching and mentoring continue to be a key part of Ryan’s practice with the next generation of dancers!
